Privacy Policy (English)
The Brightboard Parent App is provided to families of the school to stay informed about their children's school life. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, used to sign you in and identify your family account. Accounts are created and managed by the school.
- Messages: messages you send and receive in school chats are stored so they can be delivered and shown in the app.
- Homework submissions: photos and files you submit for homework are stored so teachers can review them.
- Push notification token: if you enable notifications, a device push token is stored so the app can deliver school notifications to your device. It is removed when you sign out or disable notifications.
Bus location
The live bus map shows the location of the school bus. For staff who sign in with a driver account, the app collects the device's precise location while a route is active in order to share the bus position with the school and parents; collection stops when the route ends. For parents, the app does not collect or track the location of their devices — the bus position is only displayed.
How your information is used
- To deliver school communications, announcements, and notifications.
- To let teachers receive and review homework submissions.
- To show payment and attendance information to your family.
Your information is used only to provide the app's features for your school. It is never sold and never shared with third parties for advertising.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept by the school for as long as your family has an active account. To correct or delete your data, or to close your account, please contact the school administration (see the Support page).
Children
The app is used by parents and guardians. Children do not create accounts. Information about students (such as homework and attendance) is managed by the school as part of its educational records.

سياسة الخصوصية (العربية)
يُقدَّم تطبيق Brightboard لأولياء الأمور لمتابعة الحياة المدرسية لأبنائهم. توضح هذه السياسة المعلومات التي يستخدمها التطبيق وكيفية التعامل معها.
المعلومات التي نجمعها
- معلومات الحساب: الاسم والبريد الإلكتروني، لتسجيل الدخول وتحديد حساب العائلة. تُنشأ الحسابات وتُدار من قِبل المدرسة.
- الرسائل: تُحفظ الرسائل المرسلة والمستلمة في محادثات المدرسة لعرضها وإيصالها داخل التطبيق.
- تسليم الواجبات: تُحفظ الصور والملفات المرسلة كواجبات ليتمكن المعلمون من مراجعتها.
- رمز الإشعارات: عند تفعيل الإشعارات، يُحفظ رمز جهازك لإيصال إشعارات المدرسة، ويُحذف عند تسجيل الخروج أو إيقاف الإشعارات.
موقع الحافلة
تعرض خريطة الحافلة المباشرة موقع حافلة المدرسة. بالنسبة لحسابات السائقين، يجمع التطبيق الموقع الدقيق للجهاز أثناء تشغيل المسار فقط لمشاركة موقع الحافلة مع المدرسة وأولياء الأمور، ويتوقف الجمع عند انتهاء المسار. أما أولياء الأمور، فالتطبيق لا يجمع أو يتتبّع موقع أجهزتهم — يُعرض موقع الحافلة فقط.
كيف تُستخدم معلوماتك
- لإيصال رسائل المدرسة والإعلانات والإشعارات.
- لتمكين المعلمين من استلام الواجبات ومراجعتها.
- لعرض معلومات الدفعات والحضور لعائلتك.
تُستخدم معلوماتك فقط لتقديم خدمات التطبيق لمدرستك، ولا تُباع أو تُشارك مع أي جهة خارجية لأغراض إعلانية.
الاحتفاظ بالبيانات وحذفها
تحتفظ المدرسة ببياناتك ما دام حساب عائلتك فعّالاً. لتصحيح بياناتك أو حذفها أو إغلاق حسابك، يُرجى التواصل مع إدارة المدرسة (انظر صفحة الدعم).
الأطفال
يستخدم التطبيق أولياء الأمور والأوصياء، ولا يُنشئ الأطفال حسابات. تُدار معلومات الطلاب (مثل الواجبات والحضور) من قِبل المدرسة ضمن سجلاتها التعليمية.
